"They are very good and professional from first till last day! Jackie from Junomedical, she makes a beautiful job!"

I was picked up from Airport Kemal Ataturk In Istanbul. I have no words for taxi service- They are very good and professional from first till last day! Arriving day and direct to the Hotel, and next morning I was in Hospital Emrah Cinik. First they take a blood test, Dr. Cinik had to make a control of my hair, after he explained me the process and plan how I will look like. Together with one medical assistant I was like most of the time. First they take pictures, aftereards they cut the hair (they make it very fast what isn't so good feeling) and afterwards they begin the process of hair

transplantation. At the beginning of process I have received local anesthesia (5-10 min of pain) and after they work and I don't feel big pain. Most of the time I was with 2-3 assistants (they were very professional, they worked like machines and don't like to speak a lot 😉 Dr. Cinik worked on me like one and a half hour (he made the places where hair will be planted, he is also good person ). After 7 hours they have been finished with all process. After I spoke with the secretary and she gave me advices what to do after the process, how to take care about my hair, she give me also some medicaments and she have explaining a lot about post operations process (she was very nice) but also if you like to have best result is better when you buy there for 200 euro shampoo and vitamins for 6 months. Next day I was again in Hospital, one assistant washed my hat and controlled how I look like, not a doctor or somebody else 😒. Also a special thanks for Jackie from Junomedical, she makes a beautiful job, very good organization of her and also post surgery support 👍. She has planned all my trip, she was in touch with me during all process and after. She helped me a lot

"Would I go again? Yes - because of the price. "

The experience was quite daunting but it seems like quite a well oiled operation. Just a few things that irked a bit. I was quite dehydrated during the 7 hour op and I could have done it with a sip of water every hour or so. Dr. Cinik was very friendly as were the staff but I felt like a bit of meat sometimes. The guys who initially shaved my head with clippers kept stabbing my head with the clippers which was quite annoying and it was like they were trying to do it as quickly as possible. They could have took one more minute on shaving my head without doing this which would have actually made

a big difference i.e. knowing I was in caring hands. The operation was quite painful and my lower back was in agony near the end but the language barrier meant that my complaints went unheeded. At the end I was dehydrated and my hips and back were sore. I went off on one after that when I was asked how I was. Having said that, for the money I can't complain. 5 days after the operation the results already look great. I will need the operation again as I didn't have enough donor hair. One thing that would have helped more was that at the start of the day I was given a drowsing tablet which really helped however near the end of the operation I was in pain and could have done with painkillers and or more drowsing medication. Would I go again? Yes - because of the price. Could my experience been better - Yes. I have no problems with businesses having niggling issues like this and the reason I would go back is because the team were genuinely upset that I was upset which is quite refreshing. As for Junomedical, Emma who I've been dealing with has been responding to emails and messages instantaneously. Flying off to a country bordering Syria to have a 7 hour operation is pretty daunting and if Emma wasn't good at reassuring me I definitely wouldn't have gone.

All went quite smoothly though I was very nervous on the day, and the liason lady at the hospital did not really talk to me, but was much more interested in the Spanish gentleman that was there too. I was not really spoken to, and then just left sitting for 10 minutes not knowing what was going on, then approached by 2 assistants

Nothing was really explained that well through the day, so I didn't really know what was going on half of the time. Generally it was a good experience but the communication could be improved. Also the hat provided by the hospital was much too small so could not be used and I had to walk a long distance outside at home to my car in the sun. There should be different sized hats available. I emailed a question to the clinic a few days post op to ask about Aloe Vera as I was itching badly and it took them 3 days to reply. Too long.

I dealt with Emma at Junomedical throughout the whole process who I thought done an excellent job in setting this all up for me, answering all of my questions and was always very prompt in getting back to me via email and also on the phone. it. The procedure last around 9 hours with a 20 min break in between where I was given something to eat and drink. The staff worked constantly and were very cautious about causing any pain and made sure I was as comfortable as possible through out. The nurses didn't speak great English but we got by and Dr. Cinik was very friendly and spoke very good English. The final checkup went well and Sarah was very helpful in answering any questions. I felt I had a very good understanding of the procedure from day 1 to 1 month of how to take care of of myself post op. The booklet was clear with its instructions on when to take what with post op drugs and supplements. I was told I could get in contact with them anytime if I had any other questions or problems. The facilities appeared clean although it a little tight on space with 2 other patients and 5-6 staff buzzing around, but again for me it was not an issue and we got by. I was picked up and dropped off each day on time with no problems and the driver was also very friendly and spoke good English. I can't really think of anything that could be done better as the whole process from day 1 has been very smooth and hassle free.

I simply gave my name and the name of the doctor at the hotel transfer office in the airport and a driver took us straight to the hotel. member of Kolan hospital in a private car, with 2 other guys staying at the hotel having the same procedure which put me at ease a bit. Arrived at the hospital in matter of minutes and was introduced to a member of Dr. Cinik team who took us upstairs and explained how everything would work. From there I had bloods taken and had consultation with Dr. Cinik. After that it was payment time and then procedure began. The team were all very friendly and constantly checked if I was ok. After I was finished I was picked up at the front door and taken back to the hotel. I later had a call again from reception to say I would be picked up at 9.45am to go back to the hospital for post op check, staff were very friendly again and from there we were taken to the airport. Excellent service, very pleased with all of it, also had constant contact with Junomedical for months leading up to the op and every question I had was answered. picked up Monday morning at 7:30 am from hotel for a first check up and blood test and consultation. The operation followed the same day, however it was too much pain especially when they put injection that was hard really. I have asked if possible to use Elma cream to make the skin nom and start the injection. After that the pain was ok. The doctor and other staff are very well trained, friendly and polite. The anesthetic was administered properly so no/little discomfort was felt. It seemed maximum graft had been taken. The facilities were fine, maybe a little worn. However the surgical tools & beds were great. One area for improvement as first impressions count. When we arrived & were about to start the treatment we were taken into a closet style room to have our heads shaved. I had to lean over a full bin to collect the falling hair. First impression wise i was a little worried. Perhaps there should be a salon style room for this. The final check up consultation was fine. Dr Cinik had a good inspection & the girls cleaned us all up. I felt as though everything would be fine. Overall i am happy with the service i received. The staff & Dr Cinik were all lovely people. I am very glad that the treatment went by smoothly. The only thing which was a little bit of pain was the anaesthesia. But that also was tolerable. After the treament I got a big dinner and even could go shopping. The team was very professional and they know what they are doing!
