About Junomedical

Founded in 2015 by Dr. Sophie Chung, Junomedical is a digital medical travel hub that provides patients with access to affordable medical treatments combined with a concierge approach to care centred around individual healthcare needs. Currently, the platform offers services to patients globally and cooperates with 54 renowned and accredited clinics in 12 countries. It offers patients 24/7 support service via phone and email and its online platform allows them to explore and book a variety of medical and cosmetic treatments, including dental implants, hair transplant surgery and orthopedic treatments.

We will only show you hospitals which we have carefully hand-picked based on our strict quality standards so that you don’t have to browse through a massive amount of information in order to find the best hospital for your desired treatment. You can be sure that you’ll get the best quality at the most affordable price and if you don’t see a hospital you like, tell us where you would like to go and we will do our best to offer it to you!

Meet the team

None of this would be possible without the skills and motivation of the people that make up the Junomedical team. A group of 16 doctors, sales people, engineers and lawyers from 8 nationalities, speaking 12 languages: that’s the team Dr. Sophie Chung has built in the heart of Berlin around the digital medical travel hub. So who is behind Junomedical and what inspires us to do better day by day? We interviewed our Patient Managers and have collected below some of their thoughts about working at Junomedical.

Keeping up the Junomedical spirit. What motivates me is that I really love helping people and that’s what matters at the end of the day, says Julia, Patient Manager, who defines herself as a people person who really enjoys making others happy.

It’s not just about finding a treatment. You need a treatment and we have the right clinics to offer, but that’s not all. As our Patient Manager Shaz says, when a patient is traveling abroad for a treatment we are there for them through the whole process. I had a patient traveling from Ireland to Turkey but his flight in Belfast was delayed so he lost his connection in Frankfurt. I contacted the airline company and the clinic to make sure the flights were rescheduled and the patient had the time to rest properly before the operation. Everything was eventually sorted and the hard work pays off when your patients are grateful and appreciate what you have done for them.

We are close to our patients. Empathy plays a major role in everything we do. Being able to listen to our patients, putting ourselves in their shoes and understanding their concerns is what makes the difference for us. I had a patient living in Sudan and I could only keep in touch with him through a long email correspondence, so I got to know him at a personal level very quickly. I got to create a connection with him and we ended up talking about our families and the places we travelled to. That was a very good moment, tells us Anthony, Patient Manager.

A transparent and humble communication. Junomedical’s COO and Founder Gero Graf believes that Junomedical’s humble and transparent approach to our patients is what makes us stand out from the crowd: many platforms lack a real focus on patients; everything we do at Junomedical is patient-centered and we do care about how a person feels and how we can be of best support throughout the whole experience.
